I’ll be doing the keynote and morning training for all of the wonderful school staff of Carle Place Union Free School District in Long Island. Their motto is “The C stands for compassion; the P stands for passion.” What a great match!

This is a follow-up training on trauma-informed courtrooms for Judges presiding over the Youth Parts of the NY criminal courts.

This will be an internal training on trauma-informed approaches for wonderful JCCA staff who work in their residential programs.

I'm providing a trauma training for staff working in various programs operated by Diaspora Community Services in Rockaway, Queens. The programs include Transition to Independent Living, Maternal Group Home, and HIV/AIDS Prevention. 

This will be a large training for 150-200 school liaisons in NYC who work for Advocates for Children of New York. 

Mercy Center is a community center for women and families and I will be training all of their staff from all of their programs. 

The Center for Court Innovation, a dear partner of mine in my trauma-work, has asked me to help them train their clinical staff on trauma-informed practices. 

I have been invited to provide a day-long training on trauma-responsive practices to the Executive Directors and Board Members of AMIKids, Inc. This national non-profit organization provides a variety of programs for youth including judicial and foster residential programs, day treatment programs, family services, and alternative schools. 

I will be providing this training as part of the Fourth National Summit on Youth Violence Prevention in Washington DC. This summit brings together members of the National Forum on Youth Violence Prevention--a network of communities and federal agencies established by President Obama in 2010 that work together, share information and build local capacity to prevent and reduce youth violence. The training will be used to launch a series of trainings on secondary trauma for Forum members.
