The Department of Youth and Community Development is hosting a symposium for their Community Board Organizations that provide after-school services in New York City. The symposium’s goal is to re-establish best practices, gain knowledge on regulatory procedures, and build a systematic approach to ensuring safety in our programs. The approach will target three core values of safety: Building a Foundation, Identification, and Implementing Resolutions. 

I will be hosting a workshop on trauma-informed engagement as part of this event.
