In light of the recent influx of unaccompanied minors into NYC's school system, the Department of Education is proactively and conscientiously preparing school staff to deal with the most pressing needs of these youth. They have prioritized the identification and management of traumatic stress as one of these pressing needs. This workshop will introduce the topic and focus on helping teachers feel prepared and resilient themselves to caring for these new children.
